The purpose of Scouting is to encourage the physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual development of young people. Being a scout or a guide helps one train oneself to build confidence, develop discipline and be at the service of one’s fellow brothers and sisters.

In the year 2003, Don Bosco Academy, Alirajpur participated for the first time in the National Boscoree Scout Event held at Mannuthy, Kerala. A group of 30 students was led and guided by Scoutmaster Brother Banzelao Texiera and Guide Captain Ms. Sophiya Khan.

Since then, our students have continued to participate at the National Boscoree Scout events under the able guidance of Scoutmaster Mr. Amjad Shaikh, Scoutmaster Father Osborn and Guide Captain Ms. Sophiya Khan and Mrs. Sandhya Pandey.

This training experience, besides being adventurous, have also helped create an indelible mark in the hearts and minds of the children.
